Yukon Community Pilot: The Community stream of the Yukon Nominee Program is a newly launched immigration stream. It has been launched in 2020 by the government of Yukon.
The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) was launched by the Yukon Community Program (YCP) (previously referred to as the Yukon Community Pilot Program) It aims to address the economic and labour market needs of Yukon. Through this program, the Candidate will get 2 years of work permit and later can apply for a Canadian Permanent Residency.
Yukon Express Entry: The Yukon Express Entry Stream was launched by the Government of Yukon in 2015. Candidates who have an active profile in Express Entry and a valid job offer from an employer in Yukon get a chance to apply for Provincial Nomination. This stream is lined up with the federal Express Entry System. Candidates need to fulfill the requirements of the Express Entry Stream and must intend to reside and work in Yukon to qualify for receiving a Provincial Nomination. Successful Applicants will get extra 600 points for their CRS score in the Express Entry profile.
Yukon Skilled Worker: The Skilled Worker Stream of the Yukon Nominee Program offers an opportunity for foreign skilled workers to obtain a Provincial Nomination. Candidate must have skilled work experience in a National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B. Candidates with Nomination can apply for Permanent Residency with IRCC.
This stream is designed for filling critical gaps in the Yukon labor market. It offers employers the chance to nominate skilled overseas nationals for Canadian PR.
Yukon Critical Impact Worker Program: The Yukon Critical Impact Worker Program offers a chance for skilled workers to obtain Provincial Nomination. The applicant must have a valid & full-time job offer from an employer in Yukon and semi-skilled work experience. candidates with Nomination can apply for Permanent Residency.
The aim of this program is to fill the labor shortages in Yukon through foreign workers.
To qualify for this program, the applicant needs a permanent and full-time employment offer letter from an employer in Yukon. The job offer must be for a position at skill level D or C in NOC – National Occupational Classification.
The employer must show that realistic efforts were put into recruiting a Canadian for filling the job vacancy before offering the employment to an overseas national.
What are the eligibility requirements for Yukon PNP?
Eligibility requirements for the Yukon PNP:
The Yukon Nominee program has certain eligibility criteria. The candidate must meet these requirements in order to be qualified for this Program.
- Candidate Should have 2 to 3 job offers from the Yukon community.
- All the Offers must be in the same participating communities.
- Whitehorse
- Watson Lake
- Dawson City
- Haines Junction
- Carmacks
- Carcross
- All the offers must add up to at least 30 hours of work a week (equal to a full-time job)
- Must Meet the general requirements of the work permit.
- The candidate should have the intention to live in Yukon.
What are the documents required for Yukon PNP?
Following is the list of documents that are required for the Yukon PNP:
- a copy of the nomination letter from the Government of Yukon confirming that you’ve been nominated for permanent residency.
- a signed letter of support from the Government of Yukon stating:
that the employers who are offering you the jobs need you to work in the community as soon as possible, that the job offers are genuine, the detail of the job offers, include:
- names of the employers
- occupation
- number of hours
- job locations
