How Many Points You Need For A Canada PR Visa?

You need only 67 points for Canada PR. If you score 67 points in the ECA and IELTS, you can begin the process of submitting your application for the express entry program. You will obtain an ITA to apply your application for a Canada PR Visa once you have cleared the CRS score cut-offs.

What Is The Step By Step Process Of Canada PR Visa?

The measures to apply for a Permanent Resident Visa in Canada are as follows:

Step 1: Obtain ECA to determine equivalency with Canadian education, you must have your educational qualifications evaluated by an accredited Canadian Assessing Body.

Step 2: Pass the IELTS Exam, you must achieve the requisite IELTS scores, or at least 6 bands, in each of the four modules of Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.

Step 3: Create an Express Entry Profile: Applicants must create an Express Entry profile by registering online with the Federal government’s Express Entry program.

Step 4: Apply for Provincial Nominee Programs If the applicant wishes to apply for a provincial nominee program, they can & wait for the Notification of interest.

Step 5: Get an Invitation to Apply (ITA), Once the applicant has achieved the minimum necessary CRS score, they are given an Invitation to Apply (ITA). The applicant has 60-90 days after receiving the ITA to send their application to IRCC with all relevant documents.

Step 6: Medical and PCC to apply for a Canada PR Visa, applicants must first undergo a medical test. PCC Police Clearance Certificate is also mandatory.

Step 7: IRCC will examine the Canada PR application by conducting a background check and evaluating all the submitted documents. This procedure takes 4 to 6 months to complete.

Step 8: The applicant receives a biometric letter on the portal.

Step 9: Request for Passport Submission & COPR – You get a letter to submit your passport for visa stamping, and then the Confirmation of Permanent Residency arrives shortly after (COPR).

What Is The Length And Validity Of A Permanent Resident Visa In Canada?

For a period of five years, a permanent resident visa in Canada enables the holder to live, work, or study in the country. To fulfill their residency obligations, a person must stay in the country for 730 days. A person’s PR visa may be renewed for another 5 years if they remain in the country for 730 days. These 730 days do not have to be consecutive. If a person lives for 3 years or more in Canada, they can apply for the Canadian citizenship.
