PEI Business Impact

The Business Impact Pathway category of PEI PNP provides the opportunity for candidates who want to get permanent residency in Canada, by investing their time in managing a business in Prince Edward Island. The Business Impact Category is looking for interested candidates who can actively invest and manage a business in Prince Edward Island PNP.

The Business Impact Category has three streams from which a Candidate can choose:

• 100% Ownership Stream
• Partial Ownership Stream
• Work Permit Stream

Business Impact 100% Ownership Stream: The 100% Ownership Stream is designed for those who have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a great work ethic, and solid business judgmental power. The applicant must show skills and capability to own and operate a business in Prince Edward Island PNP.

What are the requirements of a 100% Ownership Stream?

Candidates who want to go through the PEI PNP are required to meet diverse requirements. Under the 100% Ownership Stream, the candidate:

• Must provide a detailed business proposal at the time of application submission for a business in Prince Edward Island.
• Must provide an IELTS test result (obtained within the last 3 years).
• Must provide a settlement proposal to move and settle in Prince Edward Island.
• Must invest at least CAD 150,000 to start or purchase a business in Prince Edward Island.
• Must have to show a personal net worth of at least CAD 400,000 obtained from legal sources.

Business Impact Partial Ownership Stream: The Partial Ownership category under the business impact of PEI PNP requires the applicant to meet the eligibility criteria and submit a strong business settlement plan. The applicant must buy at least 33 1/3% of the equity in the business or make an equity investment in the business of at least CAD 1,000,000 in the company.

Requirements of a Partial Ownership Stream?

• Candidate must meet the eligibility factors in terms of age, Academic Qualifications, professional experience, adaptability, and language skills necessary to establish and operate a business in Prince Edward Island.
• Person needs to invest not less than 33 1/3% of the equity in the business or make an equity investment in the business of at least CAD 1,000,000.
• Person needs to offer active and ongoing management of the business from within Prince Edward Island.
• Must have sufficient funds during the stay in PEI.
• Personal net worth of at least CAD 400,000

Business Impact Work Permit Stream: This WP category is designed for applicants who wish to facilitate entry to Canada to begin a new life in Prince Edward Island. This Work Permit stream requires the applicant to either start or purchase a business in Prince Edward Island.

Requirements of Work Permit Stream?

• Age group should be in between 59 to 21 years.
• Must have sufficient funds during the stay in PEI.
• A business proposal at the time of application submission.
• Must have sufficient funds at the time of investment.
• Must be eligible and willing to apply to CIC for approval of a work permit for the Prince Edward Island business.
